Welcome to September! We hope you all had a great summer and are ready for the autumn season. September means that all of our sessions will be re-opening (week commencing Monday 2nd September) and we’ll be preparing for some great new activities and of course the biggest event of the year – our Christmas Fayre. We are now open for stall bookings and will gratefully receive any donations you can spare including unwanted gifts, chocolates and bottles. Please contact us on 01274 679843 if you would like to donate or book a stall. `
Sedbergh Centre AGM
The Sedbergh Youth & Community Centre will hold its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 17th September from 6 p.m. We are looking for more people to get involved and everyone is welcome to come along.
This lovely photo of the Sedbergh Boy’s Football Team has recently resurfaced. Can anyone guess the year? Do you have any old photos of Sedbergh?
Great British Beach Day
On 21st August, young people from the NCS (“National Citizen Service”) came along to the Sedbergh Centre to present a Great British Beach Day for our Young at Heart group. Everyone had a fantastic afternoon and enjoyed the sweet stall, seaside Bingo, hook-a-duck, beach word search, mocktails and a sandcastle competition.
The young people involved in this intergenerational day really put their hearts and souls into organizing, fund-raising, campaigning and presenting a wonderful project and we would like to express our thanks to all those involved. NCS is a life-changing programme open to teenagers to enable them to discover who they are and what they can do.
